Parenting: How to deal with my 5 year old daughter?

If the teacher saw your DD take it then why didn't she deal with the problem right then and there instead of making a federal case of it. It's not unheard of for children to do this sort of thing. Perhaps the teacher should have all the kids label every item to minimize this sort of thing. I know my kids are required to label everything...
